Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Routing Logistics Specialist position is responsible for the execution of the Specialized Dispatch Operations process while ensuring that route related location costs, utilization of driver /equipment and productivity are performed to achieve department target guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

• Management and maintenance of highly specialized, complex dispatch software systems and programs: (e.g., Pepsi Dispatch, Roadnet, Fleet Loader, Asset Management Tool, and Bay Mapping Applications).
• Responsible for customized building of Warehouse Operational delivery plans (e.g., VIP WebTL Voice Pick System, Vertique Robotics, Traditional Paper Pick, VIP Beverage on the Web,).
• Manages complex routing protocols related to customer and location parameters ensuring service, cost, and productivity target goals and sustained service levels for all locations.

• Creates and builds analytical assessment-based reporting, meeting demanding Regional Warehouse and Sales Operations requirements, using complex mathematical compilations.

• Other routing duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree preferred.
• One (1) year of customer-centered operations, sales, support, or project management experience, inclusive of one (1) year of DSD, Dispatch, or general warehouse experience.
• Critical Thinking and Strong Analytical Skills.
• Ability to work under stress while always remaining professional.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing customer needs with little or no notice.
• Ability to communicate and understand information and ideas presented either verbally, in email and by other means to receive, enter and dispatch daily information.
• Ability to recognize, evaluate and resolve problems using independent judgment.
• Should have the ability to use a computer to complete reports, memorandums, and other documentation daily.
• Solid Map reading skills.

Diversified and complex job requiring continuous and sustained mental effort and alertness or very close work requiring constant visual attention.

Physical Functions

Constantly (67%-100%) required to sit. Occasionally (0%-33%) required to climb, walk, stand, and lift up to 40 pounds.

Computer, phone, and office equipment.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to speak, read, and write English proficiently. Spanish is a plus.
