Position is located at First Colony Inn: 6715 S. Croatan Hwy Nags Head, NC This position will be responsible for setting a daily menu, preparing breakfast dishes as well as baking. You will be required to adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations while preparing and handling food items. To excel in this role, you will need to have excellent cooking skills, knowledge of breakfast recipes, and strong organizational abilities. You should also be able to remain calm under pressure and maintain a high level of consistency and efficiency during peak hours. Preparing and cooking breakfast meals according to established recipes and the Inns requirements Ensuring that all dishes are cooked to perfection and nicely presented Follow food safety and hygiene regulations while preparing and handling food items Maintaining a clean and organized working space, including kitchen equipment and tools Ensuring inventory levels are maintained, supplies needed are replenished Keep food cost in check while maintaining excellent food Managing the kitchen during peak hours and ensuring a smooth and efficient preparation process Coordinating with the front desk staff to ensure that special dietary needs are accommodated Providing training and guidance to junior kitchen staff members.
