Role/ Department: Digital Marketing Specialist/Institutional Marketing (Asset Servicing)
Northern Trust Asset Servicing Marketing is seeking a passionate, results-driven, and digital savvy marketer to join our team in a role focused on elevating our brand through compelling digital content and social media strategies. This person will play a critical role in driving brand awareness and product consideration by developing and implementing comprehensive digital marketing strategies supporting Northern Trust's Institutional business. We seek proactive, energetic team members who value collaboration and can think both strategically, creatively, and tactically.
This marketing professional will play a key role in driving the business towards a more sophisticated cross-channel B2B digital marketing approach. This includes developing the strategy, planning, execution, and performance and reporting for digital marketing efforts including channel management for: LinkedIn (paid and organic), podcast strategy, management and execution, paid media/advertising execution, web management, email marketing, and more.
This role will be responsible for managing our podcast, leveraging paid and organic social media efforts, and driving digital engagement. You will also work cross-functionally between marketing execution and creative development to support global marketing campaigns/programs as well. This role is heavily comprised of digital marketing, digital ops and digital strategy including some additional project management support across multi-channel marketing campaigns and programs.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
• Works with the other members of the global channel and product marketing team to develop and execute digital-first campaigns
• Works with necessary marketing teams to provide digital, social media, and campaign reporting back to the business
• Plan and execute paid and organic LinkedIn campaigns including strategy development, oversight, execution, creative and performance tracking/optimization
• Manage Hootsuite Amplify to scale employee advocacy program
• Collaborate with content, creative and digital ops teams to ensure a consistent brand voice and message and fuel / manage digital editorial calendar
• Own the end-to-end production and promotion of our podcast, including scheduling, publishing, content amplification, promotion, vendor management, + more
• Works with our marketing automation tool to manage email marketing programs, multi-touch programs, digital newsletters, etc.
• Work with digital enterprise CoE across website strategy, management, web content implementation and large-scale enterprise web initiatives including assisting with website updates, digital content projects, ensuring alignment with overall marketing goals
• Operates independently and proactively meets deliverables and deadlines
• Partners on other marketing projects for all areas of the business and collaborate with all business and marketing peers on marketing efforts as assigned, ensuring effective collaboration on enterprise-wide initiatives
• Monitor digital trends and recommend new approaches to keep our strategy fresh and effective
Skills/ Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of experience in marketing, advertising, digital marketing or social media in a B2B or financial services setting
• Strong understanding of social media (LinkedIn) and content best practices
• Knowledge of marketing concepts and experience executing across marketing campaigns
• Highly organized with ability to handle multiple projects independently
• Familiar with Hootsuite, GA, CMS Platforms a plus
• Results-driven, high-performing individual with excellent planning skills and attention to detail
• Strong written/oral communication and interpersonal relationship skills
• Strong project management skills
• Proficient with Microsoft office tools - PPT, Excel, Word
Working Model: Hybrid (#LI-Hybrid)
We have a balanced hybrid working model to ensure you get the flexibility you need, and the successful candidate will spend their time between working in the office and working from home.
Salary Range:
$67,500 - 111,500 USD
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
