Director of Staff Development (DSD) - Del Rosa Villa (Healthcare)
The Director of Staff Development (DSD) is responsible to plan and implement facility orientation, job skills training, In-
Service education and a Certification Training Program (if applicable) for the nursing assistants as required by regulations.
Work with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Administrator to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. The DSD also provides direct resident/patient care.
PAY: From $72,000 + / DOE
Essential Duties
Assist with the overall supervision of and management of the staff.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience Graduation from an Accredited School of Nursing and possession of a valid license from the state to practice nursing as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse (LVN or LPN). BSN preferred.
One (1) year experience providing direct patient care in long-term care facility in addition to one (1) year of experience planning, implementing and evaluating education programs in nursing.
2 years or more experience preferably in a long-term care facility.
