Job Description:
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Providing expertise in performing journeyman-level duties.
Frame structures and walls and install cabinets, ceilings, doors, floors, fixtures, prefabricated panels and scaffolding
Verify trueness of structure or other building components using plumb bob and level
Study specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required
Managing workers in the performance of both skilled and unskilled labor,
Scheduling manpower, estimate time, material, equipment and supplies needed.
Develops work schedules and crew assignments.
Maintains records of operations. Monitor inventories and request supplies and equipment.
Ensure work areas are properly maintained.
Utilize a proactive approach to anticipate and resolve potential issues.
Consulting with clients and contractors in a professional manner.
Coordinate with Vendors for deliveries and pick-ups.
Ensure crews are working safely and properly trained
Enter daily laborers time in Workmax
Identify and correct safety hazards
Ensure jobs are completed in due time and ensure work in performed according to Swinerton standards.
Discipline, mentor and monitoring performance of employees.
Coordinate and maintain crew safety, equipment and tool training
Complete other responsibilities as assigned
MINIMUM SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3-5 Yr. experience
Considerable knowledge of construction industry.
Display basic computer skills
Capable of working in a variety of weather conditions.
Support activities at all Swinerton job-sites as directed.
Supervision of field personnel
Display hand-to-eye coordination, mathematical skills, strength and stamina
Lift and/or pull 50lbs., climb ladders, work off ladders, man lifts or other equipment
Ability to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time, fully squat, bend or kneel while wearing a tool belt
