Residential Care Provider (RCP) PT 1st Shift - Weekends - Southside - Conyers, GA. (Healthcare)
The Residential Care Provider monitors general resident activity to observe and report behavior/progress of individuals with severe developmental disabilities living in a group home or other community residential setting and provides individualized skills trainings according to residents needs.
Under direct supervision, assists with daily living activities at the person's home, in a daytime non-residential facility or a residential facility. Provides training of basic personal and social skills, simple academics, or work skills to consumers/students in a state school, hospital, juvenile detention facility, residence, group home, workshop, or supported employment environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist individuals with Developmental Disabilities in basic daily living skills.Carry out a person-centered Individual Service Plan (ISP)Ensures individuals are dressed neatly and appropriately and are groomed at all timesAssists and encourages individuals to care for immediate personal needs such as toileting, washing their hands, and eatingTeaches individuals daily skills such as household chores, laundry, cleaning, and washing dishes, as appropriate according to their individual planTransports individuals to work, day programs, doctor appointments, shopping, recreational activitiesAssist with scheduling medical appointmentsAssists in the implementation of individual and behavioral plans and provides feedback for plan goalsAssists individuals in the pursuit of recreational, social and community activities based on their preferences and individualized treatment plansAssists and encourages individuals in the establishment of social networksPromotes participation and involvement in community outingsEnsures each individuals rights are protectedTreats individuals with dignity and respectMaintains the residence in a clean and organized conditionOther duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED AND any combination of training and experience, which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.Must be 21 years of ageMust have valid Georgia Driver's License, and a clean motor vehicle report

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with clients with mental health and substance abuse diagnosis in a residential settingFlexibility in managing daily tasks is of utmost importance.Certified Nursing Assistant certification (CNA), Direct Support Professional (DSP), Direct Care Professional (DCP) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) preferred.
Requirements/Competencies:
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screensMust have valid Drivers License and a clean Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policyMust pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting)Requires TB Evaluation at pre-employment and annuallyRequires negative COVID test at employmentMust be able to lift 20 poundsRequires long periods of sitting/standingMust have the following technical skills Word, Excel and Electronic Health Record (Care Logic)Must be willing to transport residents in company vanMust demonstrate the ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients in a residential treatment settingMust be able to lift and carry groceries and supplies and move furniture for cleaning.Must be able to assist disabled individuals on/offvehicle and secure seatbelts.Must be able to use a gait belt and mechanical lift to lift and position individuals, as needed.
