Schedule: This position is mission critical and essential to the ongoing operations and requires you to be available a minimum of 4 consecutive days per week to include night and graveyard shifts, weekends and/or holidays to support a 24/7/365 day operation.

Job Summary:
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of employees in their department at a particular field office for contract assigned, supports operations 24/7, and oversees operational, logistical support, and administrative tasks required to support ground and air transportation.
The Logistics Supervisor works in conjunction with field staff and site leadership, Command Center, the corporate logistics department, and stakeholders to ensure the safe transport of minors and/or family units and staff. The Logistics Supervisor oversees daily operations for inventory, supplies, distribution, facilities, and transportation for the site assigned. The Logistics Supervisor oversees vehicle safety, including preventative and corrective maintenance, inventory, and fleet management programs, and ensures drivers are authorized to operate vehicles. This position is responsible for ensuring established workflows, policies, procedures and protocols, and fiscal accountability are performed in their office.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Ensures ongoing program-wide compliance with contract and company policies, procedures, and guidance, with applicable laws and regulations and ensure changes are communicated to the team, as necessary.
Manages multiple projects simultaneously as well as provides required reports to Executive Management and corporate logistics on a timely basis, and manages, verifies, and updates information in the company's database systems, including logistics information (e.g., Canvas, Verizon Connect, Pantry, etc.), reviews Power BI reports and assess the effectiveness of IT systems and brings any suggested changes and improvements to the site leadership, or corporate logistics team.
Manages and maintains a consistent level of communication with all employees (on-site and off-site), other departments (e.g., admin/logistics/transportation specialists), executive management, stakeholders, and customers.
Implements, monitors, and ensures the effectiveness of the company's quality control plan and training programs. Escalates concerns and suggests logistics improvements to the Site Manager and Logistics Department.
Conducts operational inspections of program activities, office, vehicles, equipment, facilities, etc., as well as random in-person spot checks during transportation events to ensure contract compliance.
Reviews and oversee work processes and procedures to ensure internal control measures meet the audit requirements.
Assists management and logistics staff with cost benefit estimates to ensure procurement of quality products and services while meeting contract requirements.
Implements and enforces DOT guidelines, and fleet program compliance, including monitoring speeding levels, camera surveillance, GPS tracking, Driver ID (key fobs), driver files, and Hours of Service data, and vehicles maintenance for site offices. Responsible for dispatching vehicles and drivers. Elevates concerns to Site Manager and corporate logistics.
Identifies inappropriate employee behavior and/or performance issues in collaboration with Site Manager and in coordination with People Services and Logistics Director, if applicable to logistics, addresses through corrective and/or disciplinary action; provides coaching and mentoring.
Reviews Logistics staff schedules, ensures office has required coverage, and provides appropriate support.
Assists Site Manager and the logistics department in conducting orientations, on-the-job training, and evaluations for Logistics Specialists to ensure all direct reports are trained and onboarded according to company and logistics requirements.
Implements the company inspection plans and enforces the company's Fleet Management program and Preventive Maintenance (PM) plans which include mileage tracking, registrations, tolls, inspections, mileage logs, etc., as required.
Ensures company vehicles have valid registrations, toll passes if needed, and vehicles are cleaned, fueled and ready for trips.
Oversees inventory and supplies, monitors availability of stock and coordinates with Site Manager and Logistics Department on shortages.
Responsible for implementing the facility management program and reporting any site repairs and building wear and tear to Site Manager and the Logistics Department.
Participates in corporate logistics meetings as requested.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
Possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited university (an associate degree with two or more years of extra relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree, or more than four years of related experience may be substituted for a degree) and,
Have at least two years or more of documented experience in a field related to law, social work, detention, corrections, or similar occupational area; and ( a minimum of four years of experience is required when an associate's degree with two or more years of relevant experience is substituted for a bachelor's degree or 6 years of experience in a related field when four years of experience is substituted for a degree).
Two or more years of experience in business, logistics, transportation, supply chain, or a related field.
2 years' experience management experience.
Demonstrate experience applicable to goals/objectives of this requirement and appropriate for similar program environment. Must be accessible 24/7/365 by mobile phone.
Demonstrate basic process safety knowledge, the ability to identify and assess risks in everyday operations, understand the protective measures and emergency responses for the unit processes and the interaction of Process Safety procedures.
Demonstrate basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance (e.g., PM, inspections, safety checks, etc.,) as well as warehouse and inventory procedures (e.g., FIFO concept).
Valid driver's License, clean driving record.
Valid US passport book required or proof of being in the process of obtaining one, depending on the program.
Bilingual in English and Spanish
The work schedule may fluctuate according to work demands including evenings and weekends, periodic long and irregular working hours. Travel is required frequently between offices, within the service area, to audit trips, and to attend meetings and conferences as required to fulfill the obligations and responsibilities of the position.
Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
Availability to travel regularly within the United States.
Availability for international travel depending on the program.
Have investigative and report writing experience.

Clearance:
The applicants selected will be subject to a government background investigation and may be required to meet the following conditions of employment.
Security Requirements:
Ability to obtain/maintain a Security Clearance.
Favorable credit check for all cleared positions.
Successfully pass a background investigation, drug screen.
May be required to pass or present specific requirements depending on the program (e.g., DOT exam, vaccinations, CPR, flu shot).
US Citizenship, Permanent Residency depending on the program.
