Position Summary
The Quilt Shop at Miller's has a full-time position available as a Retail Sales Associate which includes working on weekends and weekdays with the ability to work across our retail shops on two different properties within a four mile radius. The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for providing a great customer experience in our retail shops through friendly service during the shopping process, maintaining store cleanliness and replenishing inventory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Knowledge of sewing or quilting a plus, but not required, we will train you!Greet customers, respond to questions, improve engagement with merchandise and provide outstanding customer service.Operate cash registers, manage financial transactions, and balance cash register drawer.Direct customers to merchandise within the quilt store and becoming a personal shopping assistant for specialty items.Emphasis on customer engagement to increase store sales and achieve the monthly and yearly budget goals.Knowledge of the area a plus but not required.Work as a team with other coworkers to ensure proper balance of customer service and tasks.Maintain a clean and organized appearance throughout the store.Allow guests to feel comfortable whether they are purchasing or just admiring the handcrafted items.Cross-sell products from different business units to increase overall company revenue.Inspect incoming inventory as well as replenish inventory as needed.Comply with inventory control procedures.
