GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: General duties include answering the telephone, opening the door for individuals that buzz in, collecting school attendance, and covering the front desk as needed. The TEP receptionist is to meet the needs of both Compass and USD 457 employees as required to do so per contract.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Must be proficient with computer, copy machine, and familiar with other office equipment. Skills will include use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows. Excellent communication, telephone, organizational, and interpersonal skills are a necessity. Experience in office and health setting is preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands describe her are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is exposed to a typical office environment and interactions with many different persons. In addition, the employee travels by automobile and is exposed to changing weather conditions.
