This position manages all Santa Rosa Pub operations while ensuring we provide outstanding customer service and world class beer with comfortable, clean conditions, and a safe, happy working environment for employees. Leads by example, consistently demonstrating the values and behaviors expected of the team, and ensures alignment between words and actionsProvides day-to-day guidance, leadership, and oversight of direct reportsResponsible for the hiring and training of all Pub staffResponsible for ensuring accountability for all actions, service quality, and overall operations at the PubResponsible for supervising, motivating, directing, counseling, and leading team members effectivelyBe present and accessible to customers, staff, and vendors at all timesConducts daily shift meetingsAttends and hosts regular Pub supervisor meetings and other company management meetingsMaintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming atmosphere by controlling lighting, temperature, and music levels appropriatelyEnsures all administrative duties and responsibilities are current and completed in a timely manner, (responding to emails, voice mails, other department requests) Handle company funds and employee tips ethically and responsibly Monitors all Pub expenses while working within the budget Manage inventory of supplies, including placing beer and merchandise orders from the Windsor brewery, to ensure availability, minimize waste, and maintain adequate supply levels Monitors and controls food and beverage costs using company softwareEnsures opening and closing procedures are properly executedManages the operation of Pub to maximize profitability, minimize legal liability, and conforms to the regulations of the Department of Alcohol Beverage Control and other government agencies Posts shift schedules three weeks in advance Review, approve, and submit time cards in payroll system bi-weeklyEnsures safe and sanitary food preparation while maintaining consistency in presentation and qualityEnsures Pub operations are in compliance with all federal, state, and local health and safety guidelinesManages staff rest and meal periods in accordance with company policies and labor law regulationsPerforms, delegates, or outsources Pub-related maintenance and cleaningResponsible for overall condition of Pub, gift shop, public areas, and outside grounds; ensures that deficiencies are promptly rectifiedResponsible for ensuring all staff conduct themselves in a professional manner at all timesResponsible for enforcing all company policiesAll other duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position manages the Chef, and Pub staff for the Santa Rosa location. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Self-motivatingComprehensive knowledge of Alcohol Beverage laws related to serving alcoholKnowledge of business arithmetic and ability to calculate figures and amountsCompetence in all Pub positions duties and tasksUnderstanding of resource allocation, leadership, supervisory techniques, production methods, and team coordination Familiarity with raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and related techniquesCapability to follow both oral and written instructions and work collaboratively as part of a teamAbility to actively listen, ask pertinent questions, and demonstrate sound judgment in decision-makingExcellent organization, prioritization, and time management skills for dealing with diverse duties and deadlinesExceptional customer service skillsVersatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasmCompetence in handling multiple projects concurrently while maintaining a high level of detail and accuracyAbility to address difficult situations with confidence and professionalism REQUIREMENTS Minimum of three years people management experience required Minimum five years related experience in a restaurant environment or equivalentMust be at least 21 years old Excellent verbal and written communication skills Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace Prior experience with restaurant point-of-sale systems (Toast preferred) Intermediate skills with Word, Excel, and staff scheduling software (Hot Schedules or equivalent) QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree in restaurant management is preferred. A combination of practical experience and education will be considered as an alternate.
