Manager, New Product Development (Finance)
leadership role within the Engineering department responsible for guiding a cross-functional
team in the design, development, and validation of new products that serve many applications
for customers of various industries, including green energy, semiconductor, and sulfur
recovery. This role requires a leader who is adaptable, creative, and goal-oriented with a vision
to deliver holistic product solutions on time and on budget. The Engineering group at Process
Instruments is team oriented, genuine, and responsible, creating a culture for team members
who are hands-on and results-driven to impact the business in a positive way.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage a cross-functional new product development team, conducting performance
reviews, driving employee development and engagement, and performing all other
management activities as required
• Maintain and execute the business' New Product Development process, ensuring it is
followed consistently for all programs by all team members
• Participate in the origination of new product development programs by coordinating with
Product Management on proposals, design specifications, and business-case evaluations
• Maintain corporate R&D program evaluation forms, updating schedules, and budget and
spend values on a quarterly basis or as the business requires
• Develop, monitor, and update product development program schedules and budgets,
reporting out progress quarterly to the Business Manager
• Ensure all functional areas of the new product development team deliver complete
documentation packages, including but not limited to detail drawings, assembly drawings,
specifications, work instructions, and testing procedures
• Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
• 5-10 years of relevant experience
• Experience leading product development projects that include mechanical components, PCB
design, interconnect cables and harnesses, and software development
• Experience managing direct reports with a demonstrated history of leadership, employee
growth and development, and ownership of team performance
• Working knowledge of project management principles and Agile methodologies, including
work breakdown structures, risk identification and mitigation, resource allocation, and sprints
• Working knowledge of design for manufacturing principles, including previous experience
working in a manufacturing environment
