Electrical Pre-Construction Project Manager (Finance)

Job Summary
The Electrical Preconstruction Project Manager will be a key position for Sundt's Mining and Industrial projects. This individual will be responsible for managing the E&I scope of work and estimating all E&I items for selected projects. The EPPM will also have responsibility for creating procedures as it relates to the electrical scope of work and QA/Safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ability to present details of the estimate internal and external customers.
2. Accurately compile all quantity and pricing information onto the write-up sheets and coordinate with electrical estimating software. i.e Accubid
3. Analyze project bid documents and check design to determine complete to include: lighting illumination, power one-line diagrams, grounding, process requirements (motor list, instrumentation list and equipment list), conduit and/or cable tray layout, and cable requirements for particular items.
4. Assign personnel and or perform a detailed quantity survey of all items included in the E&I scope of work.
5. Help develop company electrical procedures and QA requirements.
6. Maintain historical pricing records and files in such a way that it is readily available and accurately applied to future estimating needs.
7. Overnight travel on occasion will be required.
8. Responsible for estimating unit and lump sum prices for all E&I items and reviewing with key management.
9. Solicit material, subcontractor and other pricing as applicable and ensure proper scope and analyze legitimacy of pricing
10. Support and Compile actual costs for ongoing projects.
Minimum Job Requirements
1. 5+ years field experience installing or managing E&I work.
2. 5+ years of formal estimating experience related to E&I construction work.
3. Bachelor's degree and or PE in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
4. Current licensing and registrations preferred.
5. Demonstrated capability in managing and overseeing an electrical group.
6. Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs.

1. Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.)
2. May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis.
3. May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis.
4. May use telephone, computer system, email, or other electronic devices on a limited basis to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors.
5. Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
6. Occasionally will climb stairs, ladders, etc.
7. Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis.
8. Will interact with people frequently during a shift/work day.
9. Will lift, push or pull objects on an occasional basis.
10. Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/work day.
