Receiving/Building Maintenance Mechanic (Maintenance)
Penn National Insurance has a great opportunity to join our team! This is an in-house position reporting to our iconic high-rise in Harrisburg, PA.
The Receiving / Building Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing building maintenance, repairs, and improvement projects to keep property and equipment in proper condition. Included in this function, the Receiving / Building Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining the clerical and administrative assignments relating to warehousing and receiving of goods and materials and ensuring timely distribution of documents/packages to intended recipients.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE RECEIVING / BUILDING MAINTENANCE MECHANIC
Education/Credentials
High School diploma or equivalent
Training from a technical or trade school important
Experience
One to three years practical experience, including training related to electrical, heating, and air conditioning systems.
Exposure to and knowledge of other building trades and maintenance desirable
Reading blueprints and schematics beneficial
Valid PA drivers' license required
Technical/Professional Knowledge
Basic and developable skills relating to electricity, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, etc.
Ability to operate equipment and tools relating to various technical trades.
Recommends alternatives when a job is too difficult, impractical or impossible to accomplish with the initial plan.
Strong listening and communication skills.

This position is primarily a standing and walking throughout the office complex
Must be able to life and use a ladder and lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to see and effectively use a computer monitor.
Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard and applicable printers and other general office equipment.
Must be able to access and enter information accurately using automated systems.
Must be able to hear and communicate via the telephone and/or monitoring devices to both internal and external clients.
