Job Summary:
As a Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in the design and development of real-time embedded systems for a wide range of new and existing instrumentation and control products in all phases of the product development life cycle. You will have an opportunity to interact with customers and work within cross-functional teams (electrical, mechanical, and test) to implement the next generation of mechatronic control and instrumentation systems. You will have a direct impact on the success of our ICVS product lines by fulfilling the key responsibilities of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop high-performance embedded software for control systems within cost-effective hardware constraints.
- Design user-friendly touch screen interfaces to enhance customer usability.
- Collaborate on hardware design to ensure system requirements are met while achieving cost and time goals.
- Drive the software life cycle, including requirements analysis, work estimates, software architecture/system design, test cycles, production release, and support.
- Serve as a customer liaison, visiting North American HQs to assist with technical sales and product development (< 5% travel).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with a focus on software systems.
- 4+ years of experience in embedded software development.
- Proficiency in C programming language.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Experience with basic test equipment (oscilloscope, debugger modules, logic analyzer, etc.).
- Familiarity with version control systems.
- Ability to read and understand schematics and data sheets.
- Strong team collaboration skills.
- Experience with sensor development and machine control.
- Proficiency in C++ programming language.
- Knowledge of CAN communications, particularly J1939/ISO 11898.
- Experience with embedded Linux.
- Ability to work with geographically distributed teams.
- Understanding of safety-critical software development standards (e.g., ISO 26262).

Compensation
Employee Type: Salaried
Salary Minimum: $110,000
Salary Maximum: $130,000
