Position Summary
The Senior Director of Business Development will drive growth and expand Terrasmart's client base in the renewable energy industry. This role involves sourcing new revenue opportunities, cultivating relationships, and leading a small team of outside sales representatives. Key responsibilities include identifying business prospects, creating strategic sales plans, building long-term client relationships, and mentoring the sales team to achieve targets. The position also requires market analysis, collaboration with internal teams, and staying ahead of industry trends to maintain competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development: Identify new revenue streams and growth opportunities within the renewable energy sector.
Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, positioning products to meet their needs.
Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share and revenue.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 3-5 outside sales representatives.
Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to adjust strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with marketing, product, and operations teams to align efforts and optimize customer solutions.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business, or related field.
Experience: 7 years in senior sales roles and 5 years managing teams.
Travel: Less than 50%
