Job Summary:

As a Staffing Coordinator at Willow Creek Healthcare Center, you will play a vital role in managing the daily and long-term staffing needs of our skilled nursing facility. This position requires a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification to ensure familiarity with the roles and responsibilities of the care team. You will work closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to maintain adequate staffing levels, support scheduling, and address immediate staffing needs to deliver quality care to residents.
Key Responsibilities:

• Scheduling: Create and maintain nursing staff schedules, ensuring shifts are covered and adequate staffing levels are met at all times.
• Staff Coordination: Act as the main point of contact for shift changes, call-offs, and coverage, filling shifts promptly to prevent staffing shortages.
• Communication: Collaborate with nursing staff, administration, and other departments to understand staffing needs and provide seamless communication regarding scheduling updates.
• Staff Records: Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, shift changes, and staffing adjustments.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure staffing aligns with state and federal regulations for skilled nursing facilities, including required staffing ratios.
• Support Hiring Efforts: Assist the HR department in identifying staffing gaps, participate in the onboarding process, and help orient new hires.
• Administrative Duties: Perform administrative tasks related to staffing, such as inputting data into scheduling software, tracking overtime, and managing time-off requests.
• Resident-Focused Care: Ensure that all staffing adjustments are in the best interest of resident care, working to uphold Willow Creek Healthcare Center's high standards of quality care.

Qualifications:

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, active and in good standing with the California Department of Public Health.
• Previous experience in staff scheduling within a healthcare or skilled nursing facility is highly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff, management, and residents.
• Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to problem-solve and work under pressure to fill shifts promptly.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods while managing scheduling tasks.
• Occasionally may need to assist with CNA duties in times of critical need.
