Commercial Credit Analyst Intern (Finance)
WHAT YOU WILL DO EVERYDAY
As an Intern within our Internship Program, you will operate as a cohort working on a capstone project, participate in panel discussions with company leadership, have direct mentorship, contribute valuable work within their department, and volunteer along with current team members in company service projects. In addition, you will have the opportunity to build knowledge and experience within the finance industry, with exposure to our vision, business objectives, processes, systems, and services. The primary responsibilities of this job include learning actual practical application of concepts and theory in area of study. Assignments serve to offer practical experience and broad exposure to the company's organizational structure and culture.

Interns will be selected in one of the following areas (may also job shadow in additional areas):
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
20% Support assigned department in administrative tasks, report generation, and project coordination. Complete engagements for designated areas as directed by your department supervisor.
20% Develop proficiency in using various software programs specific to internship assignment. Learn how to prepare various types of professional materials such as reporting, software, presentations.
15% Participate as a member of the Intern Project Team on projects, working along-side professional staff and senior leadership.
15% Learn how to identify and communicate potential problem areas in financial documents, records, and reports.
15% Conduct specific research by gathering data, interpreting results and presenting findings to various levels of management.
15% Develop effective internal professional relationships as well as external networking skills. Enhance your professional network by connecting with colleagues within and across departments. Promote a positive relationship between the members (internal and external) and understands that service delivery to our members is our number one priority of the Credit Union.
-- Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws, and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the USA PATRIOT Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control, in addition to all Interra policies.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Experience
Basic knowledge of business processes and interpretation. Must be technology savvy and demonstrate a high level of competency using spreadsheets and word processing. Attention to detail and follow-through required. Experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Education / Certifications / Licenses
Minimum of one year (24- credit hours) of college coursework specific to Accounting, Business Management, Finance, Human Resources, Computer Science, or related field actively pursuing a bachelor's degree. Will consider a variety of Majors. Minimum GPA of 3.0. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license. Work full-time during the summer (approximately May-August)
