Required Shift:
This job requires working 12-hour shifts on a 4-on, 4-off rotation. Shifts alternate between 2 days and 2 nights followed by 4 days off. Day Shift: 6:30am-7pm & Night Shift" 6:30pm-7am.
Job Purpose:
This role supports the implementation of the Chocolate MicroVerification Standard through the collection, organizing and processing of samples from environmental to WIPto Finished Product.Team Members must have the skill set to train and/or perform the tasks of other associates in the area asneeded. This job requires strong communication , interpersonal and team building skills to support site objectives .
What we are looking for?
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent education.
- General knowledge of Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs ).
- Experience with SAP.
- Basic Computer skills and Microsoft Office proficiency .
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience operating a variety of machines, working with quality checks .
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs ) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs )
- Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
- Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, leaning over equipment and work in confined spaces.
- Ability to stand and/or work on feet for extended periods ( m aximum 12 hours in one shift).
- Ability to understand, communicate, read, and write in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting operating a variety of machines
- Ability to operate a forklift/OSHA certification
- Knowledge of inventory control principles
- Experience with SAP or other warehouse management system
- Understands production schedules, production computer systems and work instructions
- Technical writing skills
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Performs all assigned activities & job tasks throughout the plant.
- Keeps detailed logs and can maintain accurate records of sample collection, recording in MRSsystem, and Sample Analysis Request Form for sample submission
- Acts as a member of the Food Safety Team for designate line/area.
- Understands the principles of the product retention library, and the maintenance of the inventory rotation.
- Understands production schedules, production computer systems, work instructions.
- Enters sample information into Micro Release System to ensure timely release of materials.
