Senior Software Engineer (Finance)
The National Instruments R&D organization is seeking a Software Engineer for application software products. As a member of a product team, Visual Designers collaborate frequently with UX leads, other designers, usability specialists, product managers, and engineers to implement designs in an agile/scrum software development environment. This is a full-time position based in our Austin, TX (78759) office.
Position Overview
NI is looking for engineers who are passionate about designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems while delivering value to customers. This position requires great communication skills, taking ownership over design decisions, collaboration with peers and stakeholders alike, and a fluent understanding of how your work will be used by your customers.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of software development experience
Demonstrated ability in problem-solving, effectively diagnosing technical issues and proposing reasonable solutions
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript.
Working with System Analyst, Product Owner, and cross-functional teams to deliver on business requirements.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Experience with Agile methodology.
Experience with testing frameworks.
Preferred
Strong written, verbal and presentation skills along with customer focus.
Innovative, out of the box thinker.
Experience with Azure DevOps
Experience with XAML and WPF
Experience with C#
Note: National Instruments does NOT petition for H-1B (H1-B transfer) and TN status for this position.
