As a Federal Reserve System National Business Line, it is standard practice to post FRFS positions in all twelve Districts to provide transparency and equitable opportunities for all FRS employees to apply. The Senior Communications and Public Relations Strategist will lead and support both strategic and analytical projects to advance the FRFS Speakers Bureau (SB) program. SB is a critical Systemwide program that enables the FRFS Enterprise to reach a wide range of audiences across the financial services ecosystem and communicate with impact. The SB sends leaders and subject matter experts to speak at a range of industry conferences and events (both in person and virtual) to share our messages and key narratives about the FedNow Service, Payments System Improvement, and a range of other topics.
The level of work required is considered intermediate and staff operates under general supervision. This job does not have any direct reports.
Specifically, this role will be responsible for:
Help manage the overarching strategic and operational framework of this growing program
Assisting in the strategy, planning, and execution of our Systemwide speakers training program
Identifying operational efficiencies and how to continue scaling program with increased demand
Creating, refining, and producing executive-level dashboards to reflect program performance and industry impact
Processing and evaluating speaker requests to source the appropriate speaker for the select event
Developing compelling speaking session pitches for industry events identified as priority opportunities
Assisting in presentation creation or refinement for select industry sessions
Providing ongoing support to industry speakers related to event logistics and session content
Serving as project manager for special initiatives to include crafting executive-level communications to share project status
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience as noted below
5 - 8 years related work experience
Community relations, marketing, sales or relationship management experience
Corporate or marketing communications experience
Possesses and applies strong knowledge of payments, FRFS, and its customers
Independent thinking and decision-making abilities
Strong written and oral communication skills
Able to manage relationships at all levels of organizations
Possesses and applies both specific and broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of the field of specialization to the completion of assignments
Strong understanding of FRS business lines and strategies at both the District and System level
Must be willing to travel up to 20 percent of time
