Machine Operator - County Materials Corporation (Project Management)

We are seeking a Machine Operatorfor our customer, County Materials Corporation in Springfield, IL.

Job Duties:
Roll wire mesh for reinforced concrete manholes and pipe manufacturing using a cage wire rolling machineAttention to detail must be able to read and to interpret production shop drawingsEnsures machine is kept clean and well maintained at all timesGood math skills- must be able to use a tape measurePerform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting the wire machine as neededGeneral understanding of manufacturing processesAble to use or the ability to learn how to tack weld and use a torchAble to learn how to operate a forklift and overhead cranesWork closely with Plant Supervisor making sure that all wire cages are produced as per the production schedule
Work Environment:
Work in indoor and outdoor weather conditions, including extreme hot or cold temperaturesWork near moving machinery and equipment - could include electrical hazardsWork in confined spacesWork in a noisy environment
Physical Requirements:
SittingCarrying / Lifting 10 - 40 PoundsStanding / Walking / ClimbingSquatting / Crouching / Kneeling / BendingPushing / Pulling / Reaching Above Shoulder
Experience & Qualifications:
Ability and willingness to learn and be trainedSafety minded when performing tasksHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to operate forklift or other mobile equipment preferred, not requiredExperience in the construction and/or building materials industry preferred, not requiredOccasional heavy lifting may be requiredMechanically inclined and ability to stand for the entire shift
