Assess patient dietary needs and preferences, ensuring meals align with individual health plans.
Monitor food intake, maintaining accurate records for residents.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement nutritional plans and interventions.
Provide excellent customer service to residents and staff, addressing concerns or dietary needs promptly.
Educate residents and staff on proper nutrition, as needed, to enhance overall health and wellness.
Ensure compliance with dietary regulations and safety standards in a long-term care setting.
Qualifications:
Registered Dietetic Technician (DTR) or equivalent certification.
Experience with specialized diets (e.g., diabetic, renal, etc.).
Experience in a long-term care, hospital, or healthcare setting preferred.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of food safety, nutrition standards, and dietary guidelines.
Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-focused approach to care.
Additional Skills (preferred but not required):
Proficiency with dietary software or electronic health records (EHR) systems.
