Position Overview
The Information Security Engineer position is a hands-on engineering role for someone who likes working in multi-disciplined teams within Wintrust technology environment.
The Information Security Engineer will provide technical hands on operation and validation of secure solutions during the design, development, and testing of systems supporting the Wintrust banking products and services.
Information Security Engineer will go through close collaboration with development organization adoption of SDLC and security best practices across the entire application lifecycle.
What You'll Do
Responsible for operational tasks in API Sec program.
Responsible for maintenance and improvement on API Sec Tools
Responsible for security review of all API based integrations and providing technical solutions in Wintrust projects to align with Information Security standards.
Responsible to keep API security data with regulators and Internal Audit as it pertains to the API Sec program.
Responsible for helping the API DEV and DEVOPS teams in identifying threats to API based communications for Wintrust and developing solutions for preventing or detecting those threats.
Responsible to assist the Security Architecture in reviewing and evaluating security products for the organization.
Creates and monitors appropriate metrics data to ensure API security risks are managed.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree or equivalent
2-3 years of API development experience
Understanding of programming languages such as Python or Java
Certifications: GWEB or CSSLP

Compensation
The estimated salary range for this role is $98,000.00 - $120,000.00, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills and experience.
