ABOUT THE JOB:
The Dispatcher Supervisor is responsible for handling daily customer orders for precast concrete products and environmental equipment. This role schedules orders with production plants, coordinates deliveries using company and third-party trucks, and ensures accurate and timely shipments. The position also works closely with the sales team, customers, and shipping/QC staff to meet order requirements and resolve any issues. Additionally, the role supports inventory planning, tracking, forecasting, and reporting using inventory management systems and best practices
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate daily product deliveries, including scheduling with drivers and ensuring quality control on shipments.
Supervise CDL drivers and provide GPS assistance, E-Log updates, and route guidance as needed.
Monitor and maintain driver logs, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
Assist with will-call pickups and loading checks for outgoing shipments.
Review dispatch-related billing with the accounting department.
Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure timely, accurate order fulfillment and delivery.
Provide customer support for order placement via phone, email, or in-person.
Manage all aspects of inventory control, including tracking, forecasting, and cost updates as required by Accounting or Auditors.
Receive raw goods and verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders.
Ensure accurate entry of receivers and invoices into the ERP system, with correct plant IDs and codes.
Conduct weekly physical cycle counts and random counts; coordinate full inventory audits with internal departments and external personnel.
Establish and maintain minimum and maximum inventory levels and other inventory measurement practices.
Coordinate and verify incoming and outgoing shipments, including returns (RMAs), vendor deliveries, and intercompany transfers.
Order materials and supplies to support production and safety requirements.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies in counts, costs, and inventory records.
Regular, reliable and predictable attendance is necessary in order to perform the essential functions of this position
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Proficient in safety regulations and quality control related items.
Must have sufficient visual acuity and clear speech to perform the essential functions of the job effectively.
Able to learn, organize and prioritize work as necessary.
Strong administrative and organizational skills with an attention to detail
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to work effectively as a team member, establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
Ability to self-manage
Possess a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 3 years' experience in logistics field
Construction/Trucking Industry Experience preferred
Computer-savvy, willing to learn specific Geneva Pipe programs
Effective analytic skills with ability to quickly identify problems
Excellent verbal, reading, and writing communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Knowledge of safety practices/procedures within this industry
Able to read, write and speak in English language. Bilingual preferred, but not required
