Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's / Master's in Engineering, Environmental Sciences or equivalent.
Experience:
8+ years of experience performing Phase 1 Due Diligence work and authoring associated reports, preferable in New York/New Jersey region.
Experience preparing HUD Part 50/58 Environmental Assessment, New Jersey Preliminary Assessment Reports, New York State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR), and/or NYC CEQR Assessments preferred but not required. Knowledge and experience with New England due diligence is a plus.
Skills: Excellent communication, client management and expectation management throughout project life cycle, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
Certifications:
Radon: Radon sampling certification (National: NRSB/NRPP and State: NJ/PA) preferred but not required.
Must qualify as an "Environmental Professional" per ASTM 1527
Other Requirements:
Mastery of the English language - written and spoken
Valid driver's license
Reliable transportation
Ability to work from ladders
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Ability to work on multiple projects and/or tasks simultaneously
The ideal candidate will oversee and manage environmental due diligence projects in the northeast region. This role will be responsible for conducting and managing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing expert guidance to clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental consulting, regulatory compliance, and project management.
Responsibilities:
Prepare Phase I Environmental Site Assessments per ASTM and Agency Guidelines.
Perform direct field work including site inspections, project meetings and related activities.
Prepare and maintain all project documentation including but not limited to field notes, site photos, site plans, and project correspondence.
Prepare proposals, scopes of work and cost estimates for projects under their direction.
Manage the day-to-day operational, functional and customer service aspects of multiple assigned projects.
Manage day-to-day client and subcontractor (if relevant) interaction on projects under their direction.
Review deliverables prepared by due diligence project team members prior to client distribution.
Prepare a variety of Due Diligence Reports including: New Jersey Preliminary Assessment Reports; New York State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR); New York City Environmental Quality Review (CEQR) Assessments.
Perform Third Party Reviews of reports including Phase I, Phase II Investigation Reports and Remediation Reports.
Prepares invoices and ensures invoice delivery, and, when necessary, follow up with clients on aging A/R.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
