Network Student Worker (Information Technology)
Job Description
The Division of Information Technology seeks highly motivated, dedicated and energetic full-time, Stevens undergraduate students to work 15-20 hours per week during the Fall 2024 semester and Spring 2025 semesters as a Student Network Technician.
Requirements
Must be Stevens undergraduate students.
Must be in good academic standing.
Work Study eligibility is NOT a requirement.
All majors are welcome to apply.
Qualifications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, and of fundamental importance.
Capable of working in a fast paced, dynamic and highly collaborative environment.
Excellent customer service orientation required, and successful prior customer service experience would be beneficial.
Demonstrated ability to quickly and thoroughly learn technologies, support processes, and user service techniques.
Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems.
Competency in Microsoft technologies, including Windows and Office suite.
Competency in mainstream technologies including computer configurations, web browsers, the Internet, email, etc.
Responsibilities
Maintenance of the network infrastructure.
Installation and testing of new equipment.
Conducting analysis of the wireless infrastructure.
Provide support for various projects within Information Technology and the Stevens community as requested / directed.
Gain an in-depth understanding of all aspects of the department's operations and procedures.
Update departmental documentation and ticketing system resources.
Ensure a professional and courteous customer experience.
Other duties as assigned.
