About the Role

Essity is currently seeking an experienced planner located at our manufacturing plant in Cherokee, AL.

This role is responsible for providing direct support to the Fiber Procurement Manager and working closely with the Operations teams. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely scheduling of raw materials to meet production demands while maintaining optimal stock levels. This role collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to mitigate risks, manage supplier relationships, and enhance operational efficiency.

What You Will Do

• Plan raw material deliveries in the short, medium, and long term to meet production demands and maintain efficient operations. 
• Engage in Operations meetings and daily plant tours to identify and support resolution of quality issues
• Support Fiber Procurement Manager in organizing and implementing fiber trials with the operations team
• Collaborate with various departments to mitigate potential material shortages, ensure smooth production flow, and drive continuous improvement
• Ensure accurate and timely resolution of accounting discrepancies
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contributing to their performance evaluations. 
• Actively contribute to new projects aimed at improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and contributing to savings opportunities, including end to end evaluations
• Analyze and update safety stock levels for raw materials based on individual material and factory constraints. 
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date master data in the system. 
• Comply with all Essity safety, purchasing and financial policies.

Who You Are

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred;
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and data-driven decision-making approach;
• Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on operational efficiency;
• Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization;
• Adaptability and ability to multi-task;
• Be able to work and develop in ambiguity;
• Excellent team player;
• SAP or equivalent experience is advantageous.
