MUST BE ABLE TO WORK NIGHT SHIFT Responsibilities may include and are not limited to: Start machine and observe operation to detect malfunctions of machineMake minor adjustments or repairs such as adjusting wicket pins, eye adjustment for print cut off, vent position, and wicket holesInspect filled cartons to ensure that product is packaged according to specificationsChecks for quality characteristics and specifications as shown in trainingShut off machine and report critical defects to set up mechanic, department supervisor/manager, quality manager such as open or weak seals, missing safety slits, vents not punching, blocked film, bad print, wicket holes not punching, large wrinkles and folding edges, tears, etc.Attempt to correct slight specification variances such as vent position and slightly uneven safety slits while keeping the machine runningCheck presets at the beginning of shift and with each new jobOther duties as assigned within the scope of your positionWork cooperatively with machine operators, department supervisors/managers, and any other co-workers to achieve mutual goals/objectives Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferredMust be at least 18 years of ageMust be legally authorized to work in the U.S.Pass pre-hire drug screeningMust be willing to work all scheduled hours and required overtime, with or without reasonable accommodationStrong verbal and written English communication skillsAbility to read a measuring tapeHigh school level mathematics Working conditions: Frequent standing and walking during working hours.Frequent sitting, bending, stooping, and twisting.Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (8+ hours/day).Overtime may be required.
