Plant Floor Safety Advisor (Manufacturing)
As a Safety Advisor at Locke Solutions, you will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of safety programs and procedures. Your focus will be on identifying potential hazards, conducting safety audits and inspections, and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations. You will also assist in training employees on safety protocols, investigating incidents, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to maintain a safe work environment.
Assist in developing and updating safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.Help maintain safety documentation, including safety manuals, guidelines, and protocols.
Conduct safety audits and inspections of facilities, equipment, and work practices to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.Monitor workplace conditions and report on the adherence to safety measures.Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, environmental regulations, and other applicable safety laws.
Support the delivery of safety training programs for all employees, including new hires, to ensure understanding and adherence to safety protocols.Assist in organizing safety meetings, drills, and emergency response exercises.Provide safety information and updates to employees, promoting a culture of safety within the organization.
Assist in investigating accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.Help prepare and maintain detailed reports of safety incidents, including findings, recommendations, and follow-up actions.Perform risk assessments to identify potential hazards and assist in implementing effective control measures.
Recommend and help implement safety equipment, signage, and other hazard control measures.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety performance and reduce the risk of accidents and injuries.Analyze safety data and trends to identify areas for improvement.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. Experience in lieu of a degree will also be considered.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in safety management, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.BilliKnowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate safety risks.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and educate employees on safety protocols.Certification in safety management (e.g., Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST)) is preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
