This position is responsible for managing the complete life cycle of highly complex projects, including approval, planning, estimating, execution, and closeout to ensure planned results are successfully achieved in a timely manner. In addition to having excellent leadership skills, the ideal candidate will also possess an extensive background in the Data Communications/Structured Cabling industry.
Responsibilities
• Supervise and assist with the design, installation, maintenance, and documentation of structured cabling projects.
• Develop and stay within budgets and timelines; ensure progress to plan, as well as track critical project achievements.
• Perform surveys, price new projects, attend meetings and propose solutions to installation issues.
• Manage installations, technicians, and subcontract employees.
• Oversee projects scheduling and coordinate with trades and financial management.
• Manage large teams at project sites and assure timely completion of work.
• Service new and existing customers and communicate project status to the Division Manager.
• Build and maintain appropriate customer service relationships.
• Train technicians and facilitate learning in the field.
• Develop and maintain relations with vendors/customers to establish and achieve goals.
• Act as the single point of contact for project status by maintaining communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage all assigned projects to completion and maintain overall project ownership, ensuring on-time delivery and meeting of budgetary demands.
• Manage project status and information in the form of formal briefings, project update meetings, and use of current internal systems.
• Coordinate with other work streams, projects, and initiatives which may impact successful completion of project.
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel while maintaining oversight of those responsibilities.
• Ensure all project related invoicing is done in a timely manner and adheres to the Company's and client's processes.
• Conduct regular project team meetings to address action items and project schedule.
• Make recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for direct subordinates.
• Coordinate and manage project turnover.
• Ensure all teams adhere to safety protocols and reporting
Requirements
• 5+ years of installation and field experience.
• 2+ years' experience managing large, high-profile projects and crews.
• Adept at reading blueprints and associated building information.
• Ability to rapidly understand business objectives and combine them with a deep understanding of project management to create, sell, and drive effective solutions.
• Ability to work effectively with co-workers across all departments.
• Understanding of customer needs; excellent communication and follow-through necessary to satisfy customer requests.
• Strategic thinker and problem solver with a demonstrated track record of delivering projects on time, on budget, and to customer satisfaction.
• Leader who is able to align, direct, motivate, and grow teams and clients.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
• OSHA 30
• BICSI Certification
• RCDD a huge plus!

This job operates primarily in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. May occasionally require business travel.
