Program Summary: The Lead Mental Health Worker (“LMHW”) position is an integral part of a fast-paced treatment team of experienced clinical personnel. The LMHW is assigned a small caseload of children who have been impacted with severe, acute mental health needs and possibly the juvenile justice system. You will play a pivotal role by facilitating therapeutic skills groups, assessing and documenting the presentation of consumers, and providing the guidance and encouragement our consumers need to reach their wellness goals.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in psychology, counseling, sociology, social work, nursing, neuroscience or other clinical field AND at least 1-year experience working with children and adolescents in a clinical mental health program and knowledge of Juvenile Justice system, experience in Juvenile Justice system preferred.
Must have audio/visual/verbal activity to provide supervision for the clients and to perform essential job functions.
Must have physical dexterity in order to assist in physical interventions as necessary.
Must complete and pass agency Crisis/Physical Intervention training.
Must have emotional stability to perform essential job functions.
Must possess verbal and written communication skills.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record is required.
Access to a telephone.
Must be eligible for PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse History clearance and FBI clearance.
Must be able to identify with the Agency's Mission Statement and support the agency's Core Values.
