Powder Painter C - 2nd Shift (Finance)
6 months - 1 year powder paint experience required.
POSITION SUMMARY: Set up, operate, or tend machines to coat or paint steel, using a powder-based paint.
Follow all safety regulations for the individual as well as other employees, including keeping the work area clean and in orderly condition as well as wearing all appropriate safety attire for the job that is being performed.
*Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects or deviations from standards, and make adjustments as necessary.
*Determine paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality by performing visual inspections.
*Weigh or measure chemicals, coatings, or paints before adding them to machines.
*Select appropriate coatings, paints, or sprays in order to complete pieces.
*Set up and operate machines to paint or coat products with such materials as paint or rustproofing materials.
*Turn dials, handwheels, valves, or switches to regulate conveyor speeds, machine temperature, air pressure and circulation, and the flow or spray of coatings or paints.
*Start and stop operation of machines, using levers or buttons.
*Record operational data on specified forms.
*Start pumps to mix solutions and fill tanks.
*Operate auxiliary machines or equipment used in coating or painting processes.
Basic Qualifications
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
EXPERIENCE:
6 months - 1 year powder paint experience required.
TOOLS:
Hand tools, ladders.
EQUIPMENT/MACHINES:
Paint hopper, air hose, conveyer belt.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Basic computer knowledge, ability to stay focused, reading.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
Forklift license is a plus, but not required
