Financial Analyst II (Finance)
1. Coordinates preparation and analysis of monthly and annual financial statements.
2. Analyze financial accounting and performance data and summary reports.
3. Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis for management.
4. Assist with audits by providing information requested.
5. Review procedures for compliance with regulations.
6. Maintain financial reporting systems and provide assistance.
7. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
MQ: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience.
Additional Job Information:
The candidate will work in the UH Office of Technology Transfer and Innovation (UH-OTTI) which is part of the UH Division of Energy and Innovation (UH-DEI). The candidate will directly report to the AVP of IP and Industrial Engagement. The candidate will interface with the UH-DEI Division Business Administrator.
Additional job requirements and responsibilities are as follows:
• Previous experience in a technology transfer office is preferred.
• Previous experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) systems is preferred. •
• Examples include PeopleSoft (ERP, CRM) and Salesforce (CRM).
• The candidate will be responsible for license contract compliance.
• The candidate should be very detail oriented both in terms of financial and compliance matters.
• The candidate should have excellent communication and quantitative skills.
• The candidate should be proficient with Microsoft Office.
