Distributor Order Processor 5am - 1pm (Education)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Identifies order needs from allocation report and enters data into computer system, determines availability of product and generates pull sheets. Gathers items from warehouse manually, using carts and pallet jacks and sorts, scan cases of product. Stacks cases onto pallets and shrink wraps pallet of goods for shipment. Enters data into freight terminals and process proper paper work. Creates invoices by entering order information into computer. Transports finished pallets of inventory onto staging trailers and outbound freight carriers. Works with Inventory Control Specialist to monitor inventory accuracy and document discrepancies. Communicates with production to ensure required product availability. Processes customs paperwork. Operates A/R Traffic station. Processes inbound and outbound USPS service for Norway plant. Maintains and orders postal equipment and supplies, including adding credit to meter and recording data for financial purposes. Sets up, operates, and maintains packing peanuts extruding system. Follows safety rules and programs and actively participates in safety training as scheduled. Strives to reduce waste, recycle products whenever possible, and re-use resources when practical. Works safely at all times, follows safety rules and policies and participates in scheduled training. Reports injuries and near misses promptly and in required detailed format; proposes corrective action. Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple notices and instructions, including operating procedures and safety rules. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
QUANTITATIVE SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Basic computer skills and use of hand held scanner. Ability to operate manual, electric pallet jacks and powered industrial trucks. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work within a team concept

The employee frequently is required to climb or balance and view a computer monitor or video display. The employee is occasionally required to sit and talk or hear.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. The employee must be able to stack 30 pound cases up to 6 feet high for proper transport, and manipulate a 16 pound manual shrink wrap dispenser while walking.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision and depth perception necessary to safely operate power transport equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; vibration; and extreme cold or extreme heat while working near docking doors or in and out of trailers. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
