POSITION SUMMARY:
The Department of Molecular Pharmacology and Physiology at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine, Timo Rieg laboratory is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking, detail-oriented, and collaborative applicant who can efficiently work in a fast-paced environment. High level of independence, the ability to think critically and good writing skills are expected. Dr. Rieg?s lab and the USF provides excellent training and collaborative environment for research.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Job duties involve the overall coordination of all aspects of the research studies (day-to-day management of the study), including performing the experiments outlined in the proposal. He/she will be required to have organizational approval (IACUC etc.) and financially manage grant funds. In addition, this also includes training, and supervising staff/students; scheduling lab meetings; and data management. He/she will also perform statistical analyses, and be responsible for reporting the study?s findings in presentations, publications and give feedback/reports to funding agencies.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
Master's degree from an accredited institution with demonstrated record of academic research achievement, or professional qualifications in the field of specialization above those which would be equivalent to the highest degree. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Research Associate
