Your Role: Global Health Safety and Environmental (GHSE) Academic Worker (Part Time)
Are you a student eager to apply your skills and contribute to a Global Health, Safety, and Environmental team? As a GHSE Academic Worker, you will support the GHSE team across a wide range of operational activities. This role offers cross-functional collaboration and the opportunity to enhance the team's effectiveness by standardizing, consolidating, and optimizing various GHSE tasks. You'll gain practical experience in process improvement while making a tangible impact on the team's performance.
Your Responsibilities:
Assist with job assignments and standard work to maintain global safety data sheets and company chemical management.
Proactively monitor and update chemical information based on changes reported by vendors and regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance and data accuracy.
Support data analysis efforts to identify trends, insights and opportunities for improvement within GHSE operations.
Ensure data integrity across various IT systems by identifying inconsistencies and implementing necessary corrections.
Develop an understanding of e system data used for team metrics and identify opportunities to redesign/improve data collection.
Design data visualizations to communicate key data and trends to a variety of stakeholders.
Offer flexible support to the GHSE team by assisting with a range of tasks, contributing to the team's overall efficiency and effectiveness.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
Education: Currently a student at the bachelor's or master's level in health and safety, engineering, chemistry, environmental science, industrial hygiene, public health or other related field.
Experience: Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Learning agility
Computer skills- Microsoft suite, Outlook, power platform, data analytics software or other applicable software.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
Experience with chemical databases
Knowledge of Globally Harmonized System (GHS)
Previous experience managing projects
Strong organization skills

Travel: No Travel is expected for this role.
