A strong foundation in structural engineering principles is essential, along with excellent communication skills, both oral and written. You will need to engage effectively with diverse teams, fostering collaboration and building relationships with clients and subcontractors. Your ability to convey complex technical information clearly will be crucial in ensuring project success.
Additionally, proficiency in developing engineering drawings, specifications, and bid packages will be key to your responsibilities. You should also demonstrate a solid understanding of regulatory requirements and site conditions, allowing you to research and evaluate alternative design approaches effectively.
Your role will involve conducting structural investigations and planning activities, as well as contributing to project lifecycles through direct engagement with various engineering disciplines.
