Forklift Driver/Material Handler (Third Shift) (Transportation)
A Forklift Driver / Material Handleris responsible for operating material handling equipment (forklift) to receive, store, and distribute material, parts, and supplies, using wireless RF scanning equipment to direct the disposition of materials.

Safely and efficiently operate material handling equipment (forklift) to maneuver racks, containers, pallets and cratesMove, locate, relocate, load, unload and stack material in assigned areaPerform routine daily equipment inspections and escalate issuesGather finished orders for movement to outbound shipping areaEnsure product is labeled and free of damages, overages and shortagesAccurately complete all related paperworkAdhere to quality and customer service standards set forth by the companyObserve and comply with all safety procedures and guidelinesEnsure that materials loaded to be transported are properly stacked and securePerform housekeeping tasks such as sweeping and removing scrap, pallets, cardboard, etc.Perform all other duties as assignedRegular and reliable attendance at work

Work Environment
This job is performed in a busy warehouse environment with high forklift traffic. Warehouses are subject to seasonal temperatures. Steel-toed shoes, safety glasses and vests are required personal protective equipment (PPE).

The associate may occasionally be required to lift 51 pounds, anything greater than 51 pounds requires assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not requiredMinimum of 2 years of experience operating a forklift in a busy warehouse environmentOSHA-endorsed forklift certification or ability to become certifiedMust be 18 years old or older
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Prior work experience in a warehouse and/or a Just-in-Time (JIT) environment preferredBasic computer skills and experience with a warehouse management system are a plusKnowledge of safety practices
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full Time. Schedule flexibility for extended or unplanned work hours is required.
Travel
No travel is required between locations
