Title: Technical Trainer
Location: Corporate, Beaverton, OR
Job Summary:
The Technical Trainer will deliver systems and computer skills training across the company for different levels of learners with varying capabilities and knowledge ensuring employees can perform computer skills related to Reser's enterprise systems and common business applications. Training will focus on new hires or transfers as well as system enhancements, new functionality and best practices for existing employees. Training content will be kept up-to-date and accessible for learners.
Essential Position Functions:
• Maintain UAP for M3 training.
• Develop materials and provide instruction for new systems training topics or common business applications including job aids or work instructions.
• Offer training using multiple delivery methods (ILT, VILT, On-Demand eLearning, etc.).
• Perform skills and knowledge need assessments to determine key technical training deliverables across the company and within business units and roles.
• Partner with system owners, subject matter experts, helpdesk, and administrators to align policies, use, and training materials.
• Proficient in the use of MS Teams to deliver VILT and maintain a repository of job aids and technical tools for learners across the company.
• Evaluate learning outcomes and apply continuous improvement tools.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels across the organization.
• Ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms.
• Maintain records for tracking and reporting purposes aligned with learning management standards and practices.
• Perform special projects and other related duties, as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts, Business, or Computer Science and 3-5 years of experience delivering technical training both ILT and VILT or 8 years of directly related training experience may be considered. Experience composing technical documentation, drafting job aids, working instructions, writing process workflows and FAQs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office 365, Power BI, LMS, and ERP.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, ability to engage learners, facilitate discussions, and answer technical questions effectively.
• Ability to facilitate learning opportunities in a variety of informal and formal setting to small and large groups.
• Ability to design appropriate learning opportunities based on needs assessment.
• Ability to analyze, develop and design training and support materials.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft eco-system, LMS tools, and ERPs.
• First-hand knowledge using simulation software to emulate software user-environment.
• Familiar with common financial and operational business language and translate into process or business workflows.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
• Visual ability to identify hazards, read instructions, operate machines, and inspect products, labels or equipment.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer required while in the office.
• Prolonged period of walking and/or standing.
• Prolonged periods performing repetitive actions.
• Repetitive hand, wrist, and finger activities.
• Ability to maintain single task focus and situational awareness.
• Requires the ability to travel to various work locations by car or plane up to 20% of time.
• Sufficient skills to read/review product labels, instructions, or job aids.
• Office, production, and warehouse environment.
• Flexible schedule may be required based on business needs.
Exempt only: This position is eligible for a bonus based on company goals/performance.
