Job Summary
Responsible for driving the strategy, vision and execution of a sustainable Master Data Management (MDM) program for our product data, encompassing new item setup, data maintenance, and data quality that directly enables the customer experience, employee experience, company growth and profitability, and internal efficiencies through improved data structure, taxonomy, definition, governance, process, and technology.Job Description
Data Strategy: Develop and implement the strategic direction for building Medline's master data management program and optimizing how Medline uses data internally and externally. Define and execute a roadmap for product data development and data quality, prioritizing initiatives that deliver maximum impact and value. Implement a company-wide culture of data ownership and recognition that data and information are core assets.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to understand their data needs and provide solutions that support business objectives. Work with IT business partners to consistently align IT roadmap with central data priorities to improve data process and data quality within SAP, P360 and all related technologies as business changes.
Technology Management: Evaluate and implement data management tools and technologies to enhance data capabilities. Ensure that SAP solutions, Informatica P360, and related applications adhere to defined data management practices, policies, and procedures.
Data Quality: Oversee data quality initiatives to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data. Identify and manage the resolution of data quality issues, such as uniqueness, integrity, accuracy, consistency, and completeness in a cost-effective and timely fashion.
Data Governance: Recommend, champion, and implement policies and processes to enforce data governance to ensure the quality, integrity, and security of our data. Partner with the Medline master data governance partners to define standards and best practices for data management, documentation, and compliance throughout the organization..
Innovative thinker: Champion innovation and act as an authority (internally and externally) on leading data management practices; promote the use of new technology and industry leading trends as a creative thinker. Advocate decision-making and obtain buy-in cross-functionally while building partnerships with stakeholders across the organization by fostering collaboration.
Team Management responsibilities include:
--Strategic, tactical and operational planning (12 + months) for the function or department;
--Direct budgetary responsibility for one or more departments, functions or major projects/programs;
--Interpret and execute policies for departments/projects and develops;
--Recommend and implement new policies or modifications to existing policies;
--Hiring staff, recommending pay increases, performing performance reviews, training and development of staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies.
Education
Bachelor's degree.
Relevant Work Experience
At least 7 years of data management experience in a technology, business management and/or consulting role.
At least 4 years of experience managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating and directing people as they work.
Additional
Advanced experience applying knowledge of data manipulation and reporting tools such as Excel, SQL, Access and FoxPro.
Experience diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
Experience working with cross-functional teams and facilitating teams to identify and implement solutions to complex problems.
Experience with project management (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).
Experience developing strategic plans and driving implementation with other business managers.
