Quality Manager
This role is part of our Purina Animal Nutrition business helping our network of local cooperatives, independent dealers and other large retailers serve producers, and animal owners throughout the United States. Through industry -leading R&D and committed partnerships, we innovate the nutrition products and practices that unlock the full potential of every animal for a healthier, more productive life.
The Quality Manager will ensure safe animal feed is produced in a manufacturing environment. This position will also support our Commerce City, CO plant one day per week. Our QA practices are housed in our QMS (Quality Management System). Following these practices, you will be able to implement new policies as regulations change as well as maintain existing practices. You will also interact with the production staff, providing coaching and training on quality standards, HACCP, and other regulatory initiatives. You will also lead continuous improvement projects and also provide root cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve issues.
Experience-Education (Required):
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2+ years of progressive experience in quality assurance in feed, food or related fields of operation
Competencies-Skills (Required):
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements to include HACCP, GMP's.
- Knowledge of laboratory instrumentation
- Possess integrity in products, processes, and relationships.
- Strong communication/interpersonal/training/coaching skills
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Analytical problem solving/root cause analysis .
- Ability to be insightful and act strategically and also tactically.
- Ability to handle customer complaints.
Experience-Education (Preferred):
- 1+ years working a QA role within a manufacturing plant.
- Bachelors Degree in Feed Science or related field
Competencies-Skills (Preferred):
- Knowledge of FDA and other applicable regulatory agencies SOP's.
Salary: $77,000 - $115,920 depending on experience
