Environmental Intern (Architecture)
Job Summary
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Environmental Intern to join our team at our headquarters in Roswell, Georgia. As an Environmental Intern, you will work with our team to support our environmental permitting, environmental reporting, as well as other initiatives and help us reduce our environmental impact. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about environmental affairs and wants to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
This position will be onsite at our corporate headquarters in Roswell, GA.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of environmental initiatives and programs.
- Develop environmental compliance calendars for branches.
- Track compliance with the various permit requirements by utilizing the existing EHS Management system.
- Assist in ensuring hazardous chemical inventories are identified, tracked and reported as necessary.
- Identify opportunities for waste reduction, energy efficiency, and resource conservation.
- Participate in environmentally-related stakeholder engagement activities.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor's or master's degree program in Sustainability, Environmental Science, or a related field,
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Passion for sustainability and a desire to make a positive impact
